Scholastic Nexus is part of the ALG Innovation Group Inc platform of consumer informational and educational resource apps. We respect your privacy and limit the information we collect to what's needed to run the service, personalize your experience, and process payments. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information: name and email address when you register.
- Profile details: your role/persona, home district, and phone number, collected on first login to tailor resources.
- Contributions: posts, comments, shared resources, and volunteer sign-ups you create.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and basic device/browser information collected through platform analytics.
Payments
Paid memberships and team seats are processed through Base44 Payments (powered by Wix). We never receive or store your full card number — payment details are handled entirely by the payment processor. We retain only the order record, product, and confirmation status needed to grant access.
How we use your information
- To provide and personalize the resources, AI tools, and dashboards you see.
- To process payments, manage team seats, and administer your membership.
- To display contributions you choose to share with the community.
- To improve content, fix issues, and communicate important updates about the service.
Sharing & third parties
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that operate the platform (hosting, authentication, payments, and AI features) under their own privacy obligations, and where required by law. AI tools may send your prompts to third-party model providers to generate responses — do not submit confidential student or personnel information.
Children's privacy
Scholastic Nexus is designed for adult school board directors, officers, and parent volunteers — not for use by students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- Update your profile or member directory visibility anytime from your account.
- Delete your own posts, comments, and saved resources.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
